# Settings

> Set how the account works, what customers see, and the labels your team uses.

Open **Settings** in the sidebar. **Product settings** change one product, such as how invoices or payouts behave. **Account settings** change the business, who can sign in, and what you are notified about.

**Inbox** appears when Yorlet AI is enabled. **Compliance** opens your compliance areas.

Under **Guardrails**, **Take part in the risk network** shares disputes, written-off invoices, and tenancies ended for arrears or eviction, and lets you see the same signals from other accounts. Screening decisions, references, and payment history stay on your account. Turn it off and you stop sharing and stop seeing other accounts’ signals.

## Paying out funds

[Financial accounts](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/settings/financial-accounts) sets the rules for money leaving your client funds balance.

* **Require dual approval for payment runs**: a run at or above the **Approval threshold** needs a second team member before it can be paid.
* **Require two-step authentication to pay out funds**: approving a payment run or an owner payout requires two-step authentication.

Click **Save**. Requiring two-step authentication at every sign-in is a separate setting. See [Team](/dashboard/team).

## Account information

[Account information](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/settings/account) is the name of the account in Yorlet, the Dashboard time zone, tax IDs on PDFs, and the support details customers see.

To update it, follow these steps:

1. Go to [Account information](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/settings/account).
2. Set **Account name** and **Time zone**.
3. Under **Tax information**, click **Add a tax ID** to print a tax ID on invoices and owner payout PDFs.
4. Under **Public business information**, set what customers may see on statements, invoices, and receipts: **Public business name**, **Support email**, **Support phone**, **Support address**, **Support website**, and **Statement descriptor**.
5. Click **Save**. **Cancel** drops anything you have not saved.

The badge beside the account name is `verified`, `unverified`, or `information required`.

<Note>
  The name, colour, and icon on emails and receipts are set in [Branding](/account/branding), not here.
</Note>

## Labels

[Labels](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/settings/labels) organise and filter records. A label is available to everyone on the account. It can apply to **Customer**, **Owner**, or **Unit** records, or be **Universal**.

To create a label, follow these steps:

1. Go to [Labels](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/settings/labels).
2. Click **New label**.
3. Choose a colour, enter a name, and choose the type.
4. Click **Save**.

Search the list to find a label. Turn on **Show archived** to include archived labels.

## Also in account settings
