# Loyalty residents

> Connect customers to OneMove from tenancies or by creating a resident yourself.

Residents connect your customers to OneMove so they can receive and spend loyalty points. You can view them from the [Residents](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/loyalty/residents) page.

## From tenancies

An **Active** resident is created for each customer on an active tenancy, and removed when the tenancy is no longer active. You do not need to create these residents yourself.

## Creating a resident

To create a resident by hand, follow these steps:

1. Click **Create resident** (or press **N**).
2. Enter the **Email**.
3. Optionally enter a **Name**.
4. Choose the **Building**.
5. Optionally choose a **Loyalty tier**.
6. Click **Create**.

If a OneMove user already has that email, **OneMove** shows **Pending** until they confirm they live at the building. It shows **Declined** if they reject, and **Linked** when they confirm. Manual residents do not receive resident-restricted rewards until they are linked.

[Messages](/loyalty/messages) use this same record. Push requires a linked OneMove user. Email uses the resident or customer email, including residents who do not use OneMove.

## Editing a resident

To edit a resident, follow these steps:

1. Open the resident.
2. Open the overflow menu (•••) and click **Edit**.
3. Update the **Name**, **Building**, or **Loyalty tier**.
4. Click **Update**.

## Statuses

* **Active** / **Inactive** — whether the resident can currently receive grants.
* **OneMove** — **Linked**, **Pending**, **Declined**, or a dash when there is no OneMove user yet.
