# Loyalty tiers

> Group residents and restrict programmes to a tier.

Tiers are named groups you assign to residents. Programmes can be limited to one tier. There is no automatic progression from one tier to another.

You can view and manage tiers from the [Loyalty tiers](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/loyalty/tiers) page.

## Creating a tier

To create a tier, follow these steps:

1. Go to [Loyalty tiers](https://dashboard.yorlet.com/loyalty/tiers).
2. Click **Create tier** (or press **N**).
3. Enter a **Display name**. This is shown to the customer.
4. Click **Create**.

Assign the tier on the [resident](/loyalty/residents), or pick **Loyalty tier** when [creating a programme](/loyalty/programs).
