Getting set up

To start using Canopy referencing in your Yorlet account, you need to create a Canopy account. Once you’ve created your Canopy account, share your account’s API keys and secret keys with the Yorlet support team. They will handle the connection between your Yorlet and Canopy accounts. This process typically takes up to 48 hours.

Activating Canopy on your account

After the connection between your accounts is established, navigate to the Settings Dashboard > Leasing > Referencing. Toggle on Canopy and activate Full-screening.

How it works

Once Canopy referencing is set up and activated in your Yorlet account, every new reference you create will default to the Full-screening format. Canopy will automatically contact your customers with an onboarding link after they have paid their Holding Deposit through the Yorlet Application Portal. As customers progress through the Canopy referencing process and complete their reference, the results will be automatically sent to the Yorlet reference record, and the state will be updated as Accept, Consider, or High risk. The final decision to accept the application remains in your hands. A complete record of all your references will also be available within your Canopy account.
