Update an application
Make effective changes to your rental applications without compromising progress.
Application details
Once you have created a rental application, you may find the need to amend or modify certain terms. To do so, follow these steps: Navigate to the Application page > Details > Edit. You can make changes to the following:
- Building and unit.
- Payment schedule: adjust the start and end dates, as well as the billing interval for rent collection (e.g., monthly, quarterly, or custom).
- Rental pricing and invoice line items.
- Application payments, including the move-in payment and deposit. Please note that the holding deposit cannot be edited once the application is created.
- Rent collection method: toggle between Charge automatically or Send invoice.
- Contract break clauses.
It’s important to note that once an application is accepted, no further changes can be made. Therefore, ensure that you carefully review the application details and options for each applicant before accepting.
Contracts
While you have the ability to preview or edit your contract template after creating an application, the contract template itself cannot be changed.
To edit and preview the contract, navigate to the application page and click the overflow menu (•••). Editing a contract generates a copy of the template, allowing you to make text edits to the body of the contract. Take caution and review your edits before saving, as any changes you make will be reflected in the application portal and viewable by your customer.
If you mistakenly select the wrong contract template, you will need to cancel the application and start again, ensuring that you select the correct template.
