Search looks across every account in your organization. You do not need to open the right list first. Click Search in the sidebar, or press ⌘K (Ctrl K on Windows). Type a name, email, address, or reference. Results are grouped by type. Select one to open it. A result from another account shows that account’s name. View all opens the Search page with every match.
⌘K does nothing while the cursor is in a text field.

Search page

On Search, press / to focus the field. Click a type, such as Customers, to keep only those results. All brings the other types back. Click a row to open the record. If nothing matches, try different words, or clear the type you selected.

Create a task

With search open and the field empty, choose Create task.
  1. Enter a Title. Add a Description if you need one.
  2. Set Due Date, Priority (Low, Medium, High, or Urgent), and Status (To Do, In Progress, or Done).
  3. Assignee starts as you. Change it to hand the task to someone else.
  4. Turn on Mark as important when it should stand out.
  5. Click Create Task.
